A loan of $9,950 helps a member to buy fabric in large quantities, thread, elastic and other products.

Niñas Bonitas Group's story

The group called Niñas Bonitas (Pretty Girls) was formed by women who look for ways to be able to improve their quality of life and that of their families. They are in their 22nd cycle of the Women's Committee program where everyone strives to be able to grow and get ahead.

One of them is Norberta who is the group president. She is an enterprising person who fights for her family and at the same time looks for ways to help her peers in the group. She works as a seamstress and says that she has a small shop where she works everyday starting early in the morning. With the fruits of her labors she helps support her household and family.

She says that due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the total quarantine that was decreed she can't work normally which affected her business and her family.

She is requesting this loan to inject capital into her business and to be able to keep working. She wants to buy large quantities of fabric, thread, elastic and other products.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo to avoid a large gathering due to Covid-19.

In this group: Norberta, Emilce, Marta, Ermelinda, María, Liz, Wilfrida, Liza, Blanca, Mariana, Eliana, Sandra, Florentina, Nidia, Milagros, Viviana, Miriam
