The community bank AMISTAD DE PALMIRA is located in Barrio Palmira on Las Ameritas street. The bank is in its 3rd cycle and is made up of 10 people. It was formed on May 12 of 2009 by a group of women.

The president is JULIA, CONSUELO is the treasurer, and MARIA is the secretary. In the group there are women sho sell bread, fruit juice, groceries, clothes, candy, roasted meat, empanadas and food. The meetings are held on Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. at Maria's house. The new clients that entered the group are happy to work with Emprender because the communal bank AMISTAD DE PALMIRA has a training that established a savings projection at the end of the cycle in which they will learn to save and share with their friends every 14 days.

JULIA ( the president) sells clothes as a street vendor in different popular markets. With this activity she takes care of her grandchildren in her free time and business is going well. In the communal bank she has learned to save, to love herself and to value herself as a person. Julia's dream is to have her own store and thus be able to pay for her grandchildrens' education and progress in life with her business. With the money from the loan she will purchase merchandise, such as seasonal clothing, an in this way increase her working capital.

All of the members are responsible and hardworking people who want to improve their and their whole families' quality of life. They are very grateful to Emprender and Kiva for the trust they have put in them by granting the loan.

Banco de Emprendimiento: AMISTAD DE PALMIRA se encuentra ubicado en el Barrio Palmira, ubicado en la calle Las Ameritas, el B.E. esta en su 3er ciclo, compuesto por 10 personas, Se fundo el 12 de Mayo del 2009, a iniciativa de un grupo de señoras.

Como PRESIDENTA esta la Sra. JULIA, tenemos a la señora, CONSUELO como TESORERA y la Sra. MARIA es la SECRETARIA, en el grupo hay señoras que se dedican a la venta de panadería ,jugos de frutas ,abarrotes,ropa, dulces asaditos ,empanadas y comida. Las reuniones se llevan acabo los días jueves a horas 11:30 PM en la casa de la señora Maria. Los nuevos clientes que ingresaron al grupo están contentos de trabajar con Emprender debido a que dentro de la capacitación del B.E. AMISTAD DE PALMIRA, se les estableció una proyección de sus ahorros a la finalización del ciclo en la cual aprenderán a ahorrar y compartir con sus amigas cada 14 días.

La Sra. JULIA (Presidenta) vende ropa de manera ambulante en diferentes mercados populares, a parte de esta actividad se dedica a cuidar a sus nietos en sus tiempos libres y le va bien el negocio. En el banco comunal ha aprendido a ahorrar, a quererse y valorarse como persona, siente útil con lo que le enseñan en las capacitaciones. El sueño de la señora Julia es tener su propia tienda, y asi poder aportar en los estudios de sus nietos y progresar en la vida con su negocio, con el dinero del credito comprara mercaderia ropa de temporada y asi poder incrementar su capital de trabajo.

Todas las socias son personas responsables y trabajadoras que desean mejorar la calidad de vida y de toda su familia, estan muy agradecidas con Emprender y Kiva por la confianza brindada en la otorgacion del credito.
