A loan of $2,325 helped a member to buy raw material (wool).

Las Canelas Group's story

Florentina M., 28, is a member of the Las Canelas communal bank which, in turn, is a member of the Panamericana focal center. She is from the city of El Alto and she tells us that her girlfriends invited her to join Pro Mujer.

She has been a blanket weaver for over 10 years and she plans to use the requested funds to buy raw materials like wool.

The other members of this communal bank are involved in a variety of commercial activities, such as: quinoa sales, blanket braiding, sale of “aguayos” (colorful cloths used to carry babies).

They all need funds to acquire merchandise, ingredients or raw materials according to each type of business.

In this group: Florencia, Martha, Marta, Silveria, Hilda, Margarita, Ana Maria, Sonia, Elsa
