A loan of $600 helps to buy manure, minerals and irrigation.

José Esteban's story

At age 47, Jose is a farmer who grows tomatoes and corn and sells avocados at the municipal market. In this important business activity he has 20 seasons’ experience and in that time has had the unconditional support of his siblings. He is a merchant who is motivated by the love of his small son.

Jose has previous experience with loans from Kiva and MiCredito which he used to buy farm supplies in order to take good care of his corn and tomato crops. Now he is happy for having achieved a good harvest, and such is his satisfaction that he is applying for a new loan from these two organizations to buy manure, minerals and irrigation.

In the near future Jose has the mission of acquiring new land and diversifying his crops.
