A loan of $1,500 helps to purchase three types of batteries and to better set up a shop.

Carlos Fernando's story

Carlos's main source of income, for thirty consecutive years, has been watch repair. He entered into this trade because he needed to earn an income. He had no other employment that would defray his household expenses and offer his family a better standard of living. Now, at 57 years old, Carlos has a lot of projects in mind. He will work hard until he manages to make each one of them happen.

Carlos has had previous experience with MiCrédito together with KIVA. Through one of their loans, he purchased watch bands and many kinds of batteries. He is happy that he has expanded his workshop so much that he is once again requesting a loan from MiCrédito together with KIVA. He feels quite positive that he will get a loan so he can purchase three types of batteries and improve the set up of his shop.

In the near future, don Carlos plans to own a shop that will sell watches and well-known household appliances.
