A loan of $1,575 helps a member to buy products that she offers in her store (rice, sugar, oil, coffee, etc.).

Jesús Es Mi Refugio Group's story

María is an enterprising, humble, responsible and very hardworking woman. With effort and dedication she has gotten ahead with her business.
She has one child. She comments that she started her business with her partner who has always been there to support her.
She has always been a very active person with lots of energy. She always wants to succeed a little more to some day have a business with sufficient merchandise, stocked with all the groceries that her community needs and to be able to earn more income.
She is requesting a loan from Fundenuse, her third loan with Kiva funds to buy products that she offers in her store (rice, sugar, oil, coffee, etc.)
With the previous loan with Kiva funds she was able to stock her store and buy coffee wholesale. She is part of the solidarity group “Jesús es mi refugio” together with Pedro and Ada.

In this group: Maria, Ada, Pedro

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Catherine Dyck.

This loan is special because:

It helps promote financial inclusion in Nicaragua's rural northwest.
