A loan helped a member to buy acrylic material, nail polish, acetone, and other implements.

12 De Mayo Group's story

Ivania Francisca (second from the right, wearing a black, flowered camisole) is the head of the communal bank group, 12 De Mayo, that is served by Pro Mujer in Nicaragua. Her husband is a barber, and she devotes herself to selling ice cream and an acrylic nail stand.

A loan will be very beneficial in expanding her business and earnings. She will buy acrylic material, nail polish, acetone, and other implements. Her biggest challenge is the lower than normal seasonal movement. However, she is sure that good administration of the loan will allow her to prosper.

In this group: Geral Alexander, Lucia De Los Angeles, Ivania Francisca, Rosa Amanda, Rosibel Del Carmen, Enia Maria, Edda Luz, Jennifer Elieth
