Bahrom's story

This is K. Bahrom, who is married with three children. He has a retail shop and supports his family with this business. Bahrom sells spare parts for foreign cars like Mercedes-Benz and Opel. He has been involved in this business for more than nine years. He provides the cars with spare parts and his family with the necessary food and needs. Bahrom has a great demand for these spare parts so he wants to stock more in order to fulfill the requests of his clients. He wants to take out an individual loan of 6,600 TJS to buy more spare parts and enlarge his shop to meet the requirements of his clients and make a good income for his family. Bahrom is happy about this loan and would like to thank everyone for their trust and support.

Tajikistan is known for its rich history, which includes a key post along the Silk Road and the end of Alexander the Great's rule. It has also produced great thinkers, philosophers, scientists and poets, including Rudaki, Avicenna, Ferdowsi, Omar Khayyam, Jomi, and Rumi. These conditions have resulted in high levels of unemployment and have forced hundreds of thousands to seek work in other countries, mainly Russia. While the people of Tajikistan are working to improve its agricultural production and manufacturing sector, nearly two-thirds of the population still live in abject poverty.
