María Concepción's story

Maria is a member of the “Comuzone” Communal Bank. She lives in the District of Huanchac in the city of Cusco, Department of Cusco.

Maria is 48 years old, married, and has three children. She divides her time between her household activities and her job working for the regional government. Maria has worked as a civil servant for 29 years. She has a daughter who is a civil engineer and works in the field on construction projects in Santo Tomas Chumbivilcas, which is located eight hours away from Cusco. Maria is requesting a loan for her daughter so that she can invest in continuing education classes that will allow her to work on new projects in rural areas. The loan will be used to pay for her first basic courses in rural projects.
