A loan of $725 helped purchase compost.

Manuel's story

Manuel is 48 years old, married, and has two children. He lives in the town of Pichari, specifically in the Cuscan jungle, where he has his own home.

Manuel is known as someone who has many projects planned, but he knows he must go step by step in order to accomplish each goal. For this reason, he began growing coca leaves since this crop can be grown anytime during the year. As his sales increased, he later ventured into growing cacao.

Manuel feels he has a long way to go, so he gets up early every morning to head toward his farm so that he can take full advantage of his land. He generally has the help of his family with harvesting his crops. His work schedule is from 6am to 6pm. In the future, he wants to begin raising chickens and pigs in order to boost his earnings.

This is his third loan with MFP. Manuel commits to meeting his payment obligations by the established deadlines. His Communal Bank emphasizes good organizational management. The money he requested will be used to purchase compost to make his land more fertile and improve his crops.
