Santa Maria Group's story

Jorge is 49 years old. He has three children, two of whom are minors who attend school and live only with him. His main source of income is from selling fish. He already has twenty-two years of experience selling fish as a street vendor. He also makes handicrafts from fishing nets.
He is requesting a loan from Fundenuse, with Kiva funds to buy fish and to repair his bicycle which is his mode of transportation for selling his products.
In the future he wants to be able to establish his business in his home and to buy a motorcycle to be able to get around more easily and visit more communities.
He is part of the solidarity group “Santa María” along with Carlos and Nerys.
