A loan helped to buy a larger range of hats, toys, blouses, T-shirts, trousers, boxers, soft toys, socks etc.

Yader José's story

Yader gets up every day with great enthusiasm ready to open his business. His wife helps him serve his customers. They both emigrated to Costa Rica in search of better opportunities.

On their arrival, they have been making a living selling hats, toys and new clothing at markets. Through this business, they have been able to provide for their four children.

Presently, Yader is seeking a loan with Kiva together with MiCredito, which he will use to buy a larger range of hats, toys, blouses, T-shirts, trousers, boxers, soft toys, socks etc. The loan will help him offer a wider variety of products to his customers, representing an increase in profit and improvement in his living conditions.

In the future, he would like to open a store where he could sell his products to his customers, whilst still selling at the markets and so generate other sources of employment.
