A loan of $3,400 helped a member to buy shoes for sales for Mother's Day.

El Vallecito Group's story

Mrs. Luz Esther is 58, and has 4 adult children. She is a member of the group “El Vallecito” along with 9 more residents of the Carabayllo District. Mrs. Luz Esther was elected president of the Board by the members. Four years ago she began her business of selling shoes from house to house to friends and acquaintances. When she saw that her business was growing and she had more customers and earnings, she decided to rent a stand in the market. With her business she was able to fix up her house, and to have economic independence and stability. Her next goal is to have her own stand, with a lot of inventory of shoes. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy shoes, particularly women’s shoes, for the sales for Mother’s Day.
