San Vicente Group's story

The group named "San Vicente" was formed from a union of friends and neighbours from the city of Asunción. They are seeking the way to improve their quality of life, and that of their loved ones. They are on their 11th cycle of the women's committee programme.

Lorenza is from the City of Asunción. She is married with children and earns a living selling food and selling jeans. She mentions that, with her work, she has been able to help her family and give them a better quality of life, so that they do not want for any type of necessities as she experienced. She mentions that due to the crisis that the world is experiencing because of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, she has been prevented her from being able to work normally and generate the means to be able to help her family and this has brought about consequences for her business.

She asked for this loan to be able to invest in the purchase of supplies to make her meals, such as vegetables, bread-making products, condiments and other products, to be able to invest in her business and raise it up.
