A loan helped a member to buy a variety of cosmetics to sell.

La Esperanza Group's story

The group La Esperanza is in its third cycle of the women's committee program. They are based in San Pedro. The women involved share the common goal of wanting to grow, not just financially, but also as people, so that their families do not want for anything.
One member of the group is Elihane, a modest but hardworking woman who is looking for ways to move her business forward and therefore be able to support her family. She says that her business involves selling cosmetics, and that little by little it has been improving and growing. She adds that due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the quarantine in the country her sales have not been going well and she has not been able to earn enough income to cover her expenses.
She is asking for this loan to refinance her debt and also to buy more products to sell.
Note: Only one person appears in the photo, however this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid a gathering of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
