A loan of $1,200 helped feed for milk cows.

Emilia's story

Sra. Emilia G. D. I., 48, has little more than an elementary school education. She has 3 children including a recently marrid daughter. She lives with her two other children in Pucarita Chica, a region of the "departamento" of Cochabamba.

Sra. Emilia makes a living by producing and selling raw milk, all of which is processed at a local dairy called PIL ANDINA.

Sra. Emilia's living conditions are very modest. She has a house maD., like most in the area, of clay bricks and shares her roof with her cows. Sra. Emilia is a hard-working woman. She and her chidren get up very early every day to milk the cows. They spend their days pasturing the cows, a very arduous job that requires all their effort.

Sra. Emilia is applying for a loan so that she buy feed for the cows, feed that is most scarce in winter, but which will allow her to increase her milk production and, in turn, her income and living standard.
