A loan helped a member to buy sacks of flour, sugar and cans of lard to bake and sell different bakery products as demanded by her customers.

Purok 1 Isla Group's story

The Purok 1 Isla Group is thankful for the previous loan extended to them. Each member of the group was able to use the loan according to their intended business use and it helped them to earn well. The group made it a point to repay their loan on time.

Riza, also a member of the group, has a bakery in the big market. Most of her buyers are small store owners who would buy wholesale products from her and resell them in their respective stores. With the implementation of the community quarantine, delivery of products has limitations now. She is requesting a loan to buy sacks of flour, sugar and cans of lard to bake and sell different bakery products as demanded by her customers. The loan amount will also be shared with the rest of the group members who, like Riza, would like to stock up on items that are selling fast in their stores so they can readily sell to their customers while the quarantine is still implemented.

Note: This is a group loan; however, only Riza was photographed because social gatherings are strictly prohibited by the government.

In this group: Riza, Lotis, Miriam, Gena

This loan is special because:

It gives businesses with longer yield times loans that match their business cycle.
