Iyunge Group's story

Pascasie N., 33, is a businesswoman who lives in the township of Rugombo in the province of Cibitoke in the west of Burundi. She buys beans to resell at the central market of Rugombo. She started up her business with a loan from Turame and she is presently on her fourth loan, having received the amounts of 60,000 fbu ; 200,000 fbu et 270,000 fbu for her first three loans.

She is the mother of three sons, 10, 6, and 4 years old. The two older boys are enrolled in school. She makes a big effort to see that her children will be able to stay in school and graduate successfully, so that they can become responsible adults and have a happy life.

Pascasie is requesting this Kiva loan to buy bigger quantities of beans, as well as other, different foodstuffs to sell to her customers. She hopes to make a lot of profit due to this increase in her working capital.
