Kuña Mbarete Group's story

This is the Kuña Mbarete (Strong Women) Group which was formed through the union of friends and neighbors in the city of San Lorenzo. They seek ways to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They struggle to improve their situation and to offer their families everything they never had.

One of them is Deolinda who sells food to support her family. She is a determined entrepreneur and very self-sacrificing, and despite difficulties she has never given up. She says that because of the world crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic she has not been able to work normally and earn the resources to help her family; this has had consequences on her business.

She is applying for a loan to be able to buy the ingredients to prepare food, such as meat, chicken, ham, condiments, baked goods and other products. This is so she can invest in her business and continue working as she has until now.

Note: There is only one person in the picture, but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo because of social distancing due to the Covisa-19 pandemic.
