A loan helped me to re-open after mandated closure due to COVID-19.

Inna's story

My name is Inna Rubinstein and I am the owner of Jumping Kidz Inc. I was born in Kazakhstan and immigrated with my family to New York when I was 15 years old. I graduated with BBA in Finance and MBA in Small Business Entrepreneurship from CUNY Baruch College. For 6 years I worked in US Trust, a division of Bank of America. My job was to help clients with their business financial needs. I went from being a low-level associate to managing my own book of business worth over $3 billion. I was very proud of my work, and gained very strong experiences in customer service and business management.

But then came the biggest and most amazing challenge of my life: my kids were born. I wanted to give all of myself to them, so I made a decision to stay at home with them until school age. But going from being top achiever at work to being a stay-at-home mom was unexpectedly hard, and I found myself struggling with re-developing my identity outside of being a mother. After months of soul searching, I asked myself: what do I see myself doing that’s would make me feel proud of my work again? I realized that I did not want to work for someone else anymore, and that I wanted to do something that would allow my kids to be involved in my work. I have decided to open a children’s center where kids could come to socialize, do creative play, grow culturally, interact with kids of many backgrounds, and have their first experiences with the outside world. That’s how my company Jumping Kidz Inc was born. My goal is to learn and grow together with my kids, and to offer other kids and parents the same learning opportunities.

This loan is special because:

It helps a business overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis.
