A loan helped a member to buy fabrics, threads, and other supplies needed for her business.

Prosperas Group's story

The leader of the group is Maria (fourth in the photo, from right to left), a Brazilian artisan specializing in bracelets, bags, and accessories handcrafted from the widest variety of fabrics. She is a very hard-working entrepreneur.

She is married and lives with her husband and son in a rented house in Diadema, São Paulo. Maria has been in this business for 10 years, and she says that the money from selling her handcrafted items helps a lot in sustaining her family.

She requests a loan from Banco do Povo to buy fabrics, threads, and other supplies needed for her business. In the future, she would like to save up enough money to be able to send her son to college.

The group thanks their lenders.
