A loan helped to buy 18 bags of onions and 5 bags of walnuts, and to increase his savings in order to improve his family's quality of life.

Salamata's story

Salamata is the mother of four children, three of which attend school. She is a vendor, and buying grains and other cooking ingredients and reselling them at marketplaces in and around the capital. She has over a decade of experience in managing this business.

This is Salamata's fifth loan cycle with Yikri; she has reimbursed Yikri without difficulty each time.

With this new loan, Salamata plans to purchase 18 bags of onions and 5 bags of walnuts in order to stock up and meet customer demand. The proceeds from her sales will be reinvested in her business and will allow Salamata to improve her family's quality of life.

Salamata urges everyone to stay safe during this pandemic.
