A loan of $2,550 helped a member purchase of merchandise to sell.

La Nueva Esperanza Group's story

The New Hope is a village bank located in the San Gregorio zone of the Ate district of Lima, Peru and is made up of 10 members who work in day labor, sales and retail; they have worked with EDAPROSPO for the past year and a half.

Olga, a 36 year old who lives with her partner with whom she has 4 children, is the current president.

For the past 12 years, she has worked as a housekeeper and recently began selling cosmetics through a catalogue; due to her hard work, she has been able to improve her family's standard of living. She has repaired her home and improved her children's education. Her dream is to have a nutritionist club. This loan will be used to purchase inventory to sell.

The group members are grateful for the loans to finance their businesses and they will continue to fulfill their scheduled payments on time.
