A loan helped a member to buy 1 bundle of second-hand clothing and some shoes, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Zamiri Group's story

Alphonsine is a client of Hekima and is the president of the banque villageoise called Zamiri. She is a 66 year old widow and lives with her 4 grandsons that all attend school with her support.

Alphonsine is a seller of second-hand clothing. She started this business in 1992 with the start-up funds received from her late husband. Later, she involved the Hekima program to support her business which has gradually developed. With this new loan, she is going to buy 1 bundle of second-hand clothing and shoes, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is linked to the increase of the dollar exchange rate and lack of customers.

She would like her grandsons to continue to study and that she develops her business to sustain it herself. Finally, Alphonsine would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to owners of non-bankable businesses in this context of the global Covid-19 crisis.
