A loan helped a member to buy one bag of corn and 1/2 bag of mustard to make a local beverage.

Gloria Group's story

Madame Hermine is a client of IMF Hekima and manages the banque villageoise called "Gloria." She is 54 years old, married, and has six children who have all finished their schooling. Her partner is unemployed.

Hermine sells a locally-made beverage. She started her business 25 years ago with startup capital from her husband. Later on, she joined Hekima's loan program to support her business, which has been growing over time.

With this new loan, she will buy one bag of rice and 1/2 bag of mustard to make the local beverage. This will help bolster her initial capital. Her activity is not challenging for her.

She would like to feed her family and perform maintenance on her home. In closing, she wants to thank Hekima and their partners for their support of non-bankable businesses—especially in the context of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The photo is only of the group leader due to COVID-19.
