A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Mojalefa's story

Mojalefa is a 29-year-old man who lives in a 1 bedroom house with 4 other family members. They do not have access to electricity.

Mojalefa relies on commercial farming and struggles with buying multiple fuels and insufficient income. Most of his energy expenditure goes on gas and wood, which cost up to 900 LSL per month. He also spends as much as 1 hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Mojalefa bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help his family save money on fuel and also help them access solar electricity to charge their mobile devices for free at any time.

The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cookstove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
