A loan helped to buy cement, sand, blocks, PVC pipe to construct a bathroom in her house; and to pay for water service and labor.

Karina's story

Karina is 29 years old, married, and the mother of two children. She started work in charge of sales in a store selling musical items and solar panels at the age of 27, based on her own efforts; and thanks to the university degree she has in social sciences, the personal and work references she has in town, and the unconditional support of her husband. Since then Karina has improved and carried out her job up until today. She is known as a very hardworking, honest and calm person.

Karina seeks a loan from Fundenuse with Kiva funds to construct and install a bathroom in her home and to pay for water service. She will buy construction materials and pay for labor. The loan will have a positive impact as it will allow her to access potable father, and improve the hygiene, health, security and personal sanitary privacy of her and her family. It will also have a positive impact on the environment as a toilet is technology that is good for the environment. Karina's next goal is to lay a tile floor and whitewash her house. Her future plans are to finish building her home.
