Valle De Los Maradiagas Dos Group's story

Blanca is 30 years old and has two children. She's a farmer and has worked in the fields all her life, especially growing coffee. She's worked in this sector since she was young, a lifelong activity she learned from her parents. It's safe to say that this has been her main economic activity upon which she and her family depend on. Thanks to her own hard work, she has about an acre of coffee crops which produces 25 quintals per two acres of land.

Since her production unit is small, Blanca can go to other production units nearby and work; this allows her to earn more income for her household. She’s requesting a Kiva loan through Fundenuse to buy agricultural supplies.

Blanca belongs to communal group “Valle de los Maradiagas Dos,” with Luis and Arelys. In the future, she wishes to have a coffee plant nursery so she can renew and refresh a part of the plot which is damaged.
