A loan helped a member to stock up on 50 bags of cassava to strengthen her initial capital.

Buguma Group's story

Elisabeth is a client of Hekima and chairs the "Buguma" business group. She is married, 44 years old, and mother of six children, all of whom attend school. Her partner is a trader.

Elisabeth is a cassava seller in a warehouse. She started this business in 2005 with start-up funds received from her husband. Later, she involved the Hekima program to support her business and she gradually grew. With this new loan, she will stock up on 50 bags of cassava, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is linked to the instability of the dollar and the global crisis.

Elisabeth would like for her children to continue to study and to develop her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in the context of the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo shows only the leader of the group due to COVID-19.
