Savui's story

Kava is widely consumed in Fiji and provides village women with a source of income. Savui is one of the few that can be described as hardworking and a motivating businesswoman.

Although her husband has a stable income, Savui does not stay idle. She uses whatever available resources she can find to make business out of it.

With the current trend of kava consumption, Savui sees an opportunity to enterprise. She will be build a mini kava shop attached to her home and sell her kava products. On top of this, she will also sell chasers and Fijian tobacco. By doing so, she sees a solution to her battle bringing up 5 children which will also supplement her husband's income.
