A loan of $500 helped to purchase fertilizer and seeds to expand her cultivation of crops.

Lach's story

Mrs. Lach S., 41, lives with her husband and six children in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. She works on her farmland growing vegetables and usually earns around $1.60 per day in profit from selling her output at a nearby market. Her husband works as a teacher, earning only a meager income but fortunately, three of her children are employed at a garment factory. The rest attend school. Mrs. Lach S. hopes to use this loan to purchase fertilizer and seeds to expand her cultivation of crops to sell.
