A loan of $5,075 helps a member to purchase equipment, creams and other products.

Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story

The "Mujeres Emprendedoras" (Enterprising Women) communal bank is in its 46th lending cycle with the women's committee program. They all work and help one another to get ahead. They are participating in the Poverty Stoplight Program, where all of them are working toward a better quality of life for their families. They want their families to have everything they need.

One of the communal bank members is señora Zuni. She earns her living working as a physical therapist. She says that she has a regular clientele that always asks for her services because she is very good at what she does. Zuni says that her family is her support, and that she works hard for them so they can have a better quality of life and not suffer any privations.

Zuni is requesting this loan so she can purchase items for work, such as equipment, creams and other products. The purchase will allow her to continue working like always.

Add: The children in the above photo are daughters of communal bank members who signed on to this loan.
