Cañaveral Group's story

Juan and Natalia belong to the Toba QOM indigenous people in the community of San Francisco-Cerriteño. They decided to join the loan group called “Cañaveral.”

Juan is 59 years old, and he has been living in this community for 49 years. He is in a relationship with Jorgelina, who does artesanal crafts, and together they have 5 children for whom they fight everyday to go forward. He is a person who knows his community, and he would like to improve it since he is worried about the serious problem of worldwide exploitation. For this reason, he has decided to come to Fundación Paraguaya.

He is asking for this loan to buy eucalyptus seeds so that he can reforest 5 hectares of land. In this way, he can do his part to help his community and see it grow.
