Djénèbou's story

Djénèbou K. N.is a 37-year-old widow and the mother of five children. She lives with her children in her deceased spouse's home in Wayerma I, one of the working-class districts of the city of Sikasso.

For four years Djénèbou K. N.has been running a business buying and selling bed linens, pagnes wax (colorful West African cloth), and firewood. She has a good reputation in the business and receives many orders, but her resources do not permit her to fill them.

After several group loans and two individual loans, she is seeking her third individual loan with Soro Yiriwaso in order to buy twenty sets of bed linens, five suits of embroidered cloth, and 5 cartloads of firewood, in Bobo Dioulasso (Burkina Faso) and in areas surrounding the city of Sikasso.

With this loan, she plans to make a monthly profit of 90,000 FCA, which will be used to contribute to family expenses and to pay interest on her loan, with the remainder to be invested in her business.
