Iem P., 26, is married and lives with two young children in the Siem Reap province. Working a farm together with her husband, Iem P. typically makes $1.50 each day.

The weather conditions have been difficult for farming in Cambodia this past year. This factor has played into a difficult economic year for many Cambodians, Iem P. included. In light of this economic difficulty, she is asking for a loan of $500 to expand her farmland. In order to increase her profits and possibly raise her standard of living, she would like to purchase more land to produce rice with the loan given to her through CREDIT, a Kiva partner.
