A loan of $800 helped to purchase a motorbike for produce transport.

Choy's story

Choy Y., 61, is married and lives with one of her children in Siem Reap province. She and her husband are farmers who typically make about US$ 4 each day and are supported by their child working in a garment factory. The weather conditions have been difficult for farming in Cambodia this past year. This factor has played into a difficult economic year for many Cambodians, Choy Y. included. In light of these economic difficulties, she is asking for a loan of US$ 800 to purchase a motorbike to transport vegetables. She is confident that this loan will allow her to increase her daily income and to better support her family.
