A loan of $900 helped buying fabric for making shirts.

Raymunda's story

Raymunda is a hard-working 51-year-old woman. She and her husband live in their own home with their three young children. Raymunda makes polo shirts for a living. At her dining room table, she traces patterns, cuts fabric pieces and sorts them. Raymunda does her best to cut every piece precisely, and then she takes them to her friend's shop, where they are sewn and finished. Her favourite part of her job is designing the shirts. She has been making shirts for two years; it's difficult work, and she doesn't have the right materials to continue doing it properly. In the future, she plans to buy a sewing machine and open her own clothing shop. This is her first MFP loan; she has agreed to make her payments on time, and considers it good for her business. Raymunda will use her loan to buy wholesale fabrics so that she can make more polo shirts and fill her orders on time.
