A loan of $725 helped to buy cattle.

Raul's story

Raúl, 42, lives in his own home with his 6 children, 5 of whom are still minors. This hard-working man is a farmer; he grows broad beans, peas, potato and barley. He tends to his crops every morning because he realizes that this work requires a lot of dedication so that the harvest will be completely successful and be able to be sold to area wholesalers at good prices.

He enjoys his work very much because he learned farming from a very young age and it’s the best legacy he can leave his children. When production is large, his older children help with the harvesting but the rest of the time they go to school in the city.

Because Raúl is a man who looks to the future, he plans to plant larger amounts of beans and peas because prices for these items are stable in the market; besides, he wants to start to raise more cattle.

This is his 4th loan with MFP and he says that his group is one of the best ones because all the members are punctual with their payments and this allows them to continue forward.

He will use the requested funds to buy a few head of cattle to raise for subsequent sale.
