A loan of $725 helped to buy bean seeds and fertilizer.

Felicita's story

Felicita is 29 years old and lives in her own home along with her husband Michel, who is also 29 years old, and their two young children. They live in a neighborhood located in the Peruvian mountains. From a young age, Felicita saw how her parents worked the land and prepared for months for the planting season. In this way, she learned everything necessary about agricultural techniques and several years later began practicing in her own fields, growing potatoes, peas and broad beans.

It turned out that she loved her work especially because she could do it alongside her husband. Although it was sometimes tedious waking up every day at dawn, she knew that all the effort would pay off once she saw all the produce. She sells to the wholesalers in the city who buys all her harvest for a good price. These earnings allow her to have a good quality of life. Felicita always thinks about the future and she has plans to increase her production of peas in order to continue to commercialize her natural products.

This is her third credit with MFP. The work with her group is going well now that all the members are very punctual in their repayments. Felicita is thinking of using the loan that she is soliciting to buy bean seeds and fertilizer to ensure good soils for the next planting season.
