A loan of $1,000 helped buy natural gas equipment to convert his vehicle.

Roberto's story

Roberto provides transportation service for a school in the city. He transports the children and the teachers. He lives in the Pampahasi region with his wife, a teacher. His children are independent, but they live in the same house.

He is very hard-working. On the week-ends, when he does not work for the school, he is hired to travel to other villages and some towns around the city of La Paz.

The loan he is requesting is to buy natural gas equipment to convert his vehicle. The daily expense of this fuel will be less than what he currently pays. He will also reduce the contamination of our planet.

Many of the drivers in Bolivia are converting their vehicles from gas and diesel to natural gas. First, they do this to reduce cost. The other reason is that they are being conscientious about the care of our planet.

Roberto is very grateful to Emprender and Kiva for the trust shown in granting the loan.
