A loan helped to buy foliar treatments, herbicides and urea, among other things, for his coffee crop.

Donald De Jesus's story

Donald has grown coffee for over ten years. He has a small farm of 4.22 hectares, 3.52 of which is planted with coffee certified under the standards of F.L.O. and C.A.F.E. practices.

He has benefitted from the the technical assistance of the field team of the Asociación Pueblos en Acción Comunitaria. This is evidenced by fulfilling productive, social and environmental measures on his farm. In turn, this has led to an improvement in his productive output in the last years.

Donald's income depends primarily on coffee. To guarantee adequate management of his coffee farm this year, he is seeking a loan to buy foliar treatments, herbicides and urea, among other things. This will ensure the conditions he needs for a good harvest. Donald's dedication and discipline will allow him to ensure the implementation of all the activities his coffee farm requires, and he will continue improving his income for the wellbeing of his family.
