Moussa Tièdian's story

Monsieur Moussa Tièdian Koné is a married man aged 56 ans who lives in a polygamous family in downtown Kolondièba, in Mali's third administrative region. He has been buying and selling cereals, and also motorbike and bicycle parts, for 10 years. His parts store, in the central market of Kolondièba, is easy to get to and very busy.

To increase his capital, he belongs to the Soro Yiriwaso credit program. He is currently paying back his fourth loan from the program, He plans to buy a large number of parts in Bamako [Mali's capital]. He usually sells for cash, and at retail, to his customers, who are motorbike and bicycle mechanics. He is predicting income of 50.000 FCFA a month to pay for school fees and family health care.
