A loan helped to purchase fertilizer and agricultural supplies.

Paula Janeth's story

Paula is a young woman who is very hard-working and lives in the community of Rocafuerte in the parish of Lita in Imbabura province. She is 20 years old and she and her family are dedicated to growing and selling guanábanas (a type of fruit).

Paula and her partner made the decision to form a home together with the support of their parents who gave them a portion of the guanábana plants so that they will have their own income and can cover their household expenses.

Paula is requesting a Kiva loan because she and her spouse need to purchase compost and fertilizers for their crops so that they can continue managing their crops and have good income to cover their expenses.

Paula and her spouse are very grateful for the support and opportunity that Kiva has given them to improve their quality of life.
