A loan of $1,000 helped to buy groceries to resell.

Sem's story

Sem S., 31, is married and resides with her husband and one child in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia, an area known for clay and ceramic products. She raises ducks and chickens for an income of about USD $2 per day. Her husband works cutting glasses, earning an income of USD $6.50 per day to help cover the family expenses.

S. has requested a loan of USD $1000 to purchase groceries to sell at home. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her second loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva Field Partner in Cambodia. S. and her husband are pictured together.
