A loan helped to grow his workshop and continue training more young men to be empowered.

Joseph's story

Joseph is middle-aged, happily married and blessed with children, the eldest being 22. He's run his workshop since 2002, which has helped him look after his family and his parents and to employ three youth to help him. He enjoys serving all classes of people, rich and poor, which helps him balance what he charges.

His desire right now is to own a home in at least four years, but to achieve this Joseph needs to continue growing his business. Through this business, he's been training young people so they can depend on themselves and so far he has trained eight and employed three.

He's kindly requesting a loan enabling him to buy materials boosting his business and continuing to grow it. Joseph came from a humble background and wasn't able to get a good education, but he hopes to turn that around by giving his children a good education through his business. He's promised to pay back his loan with his profits. His advice to all borrowers is to use their loans wisely to grow themselves and also to grow others in their fields.

This loan is special because:

It gives financial access to low income micro-entrepreneurs.
