A loan helped to purchase more slippers to sell.

Sayba's story

Meet 21-year-old Sayba from Liberia. She is single with no children for now. She attended school up to the 12th grade.

Sayba runs a business where she sells slippers. She has worked in this business for the past 4 years now and works 15 hours per day, 6 days a week. For the time being, she has had no problem with her business.

Sayba requested this loan from Brac Liberia, KIVA field partner to purchase more slippers to sell. She says that the income from this loan will help to improve their standard of living. In the future, she would like to become a big business woman. She says thanks and gives appreciation to Brac and the Kiva community for their support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
