A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Sobol's story

Sobol, aged 36, is married and a lovely mother of three children, who are attending school. To earn a living, she has been working in an occupation as a garment worker at a small factory. Every morning, she has to take the taxi service to commute to her workplace and has to pay high costs for the taxi.

She has a common-law relationship with her husband, who has a business as a construction worker. Her husband tries very hard every day at the construction site to prepare construction supplies for building seriously and spends more than eight hours per day to make sure that family members have enough food to eat.

As of now, she is requesting a loan in the amount of 6,000,000 KHR to build a safe latrine at home. In this way, she hopes to increase the value of her home and improve sanitation. The water loan program offered by HKL, with a special interest rate, has helped to encourage her to focus on ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment.

This loan is special because:

It provides access to clean, renewable energy sources, like solar and biogas.
