A loan of $1,200 helped purchase farming supplies, seedlings, and fertilizers.

Juana Del Carmen's story

Sra. Juana del Carmen O. G. is 37 years old, married, and has three young children who are financially dependent on her role as a head of household. Her family lives in the neighborhood of Pablo Calero and has been farming for 21 years.

Among the main plans for Juana’s farm is to reestablish a new crop of pineapples because pests have impacted her production in recent months. For this reason, she is requesting a loan so that she can purchase farming supplies, seedlings, and especially fertilizers so that her land will be in better condition to produce a good harvest. This support will help Juana in the long term because she can devote her household finances to other projects that will help improve the quality of life for her family.

This is not the first time Juana has received a loan. Her previous loans have brought about good results and improvement to her finances. She is able to inject more capital back into her business because demand has picked up in recent months. Juana hopes to be able to meet this demand and experience an increase in her sales.
