A loan of $700 helped to buy stock items for her store.

Esther's story

Esther, 20, lives with her partner and their daughter in their own home located in the Cusco jungle.

Esther, a hard-working, hopeful young woman, remembers how she used to sell door-to-door before she had her store; she didn’t wait for customers to find her. Her sales grew as well as her income. In time, she secured a base of repeat customers that gave her the edge she needed to open her own store; she stocks an assortment of products that she sells for reasonable prices to the general public. She usually works with her partner and sometimes her parents help her. She is open for business from 5am until 9pm. In the future, she would like to expand her store to continue to satisfy customer demand.

This is her 4th loan with MFP and she pledges to repay in a timely fashion. She is also grateful to her communal group for the support they give her.

She will use the requested funds to buy stock items for her store.
