A loan helped to buy chickens, feed and cages.

Carmen Cecilia's story

Carmen is 34 years old. She lives with her husband in the city of San Lorenzo in the Esmeraldas province. Carmen is a hard-working and responsible woman with her family. For this reason, she works daily, dedicating herself to raising farmyard animals. Carmen, currently, raises chickens. This activity allows her to earn income to help with family expenses. Her husband works on a palm tree farm but the income is not enough for their expenses.
This was the main reason why Carmen started this business to be able to help her family.
Carmen needs a loan to purchase more chickens and feed for raising them as well as to purchase materials and prepare cages to later sell them in the area stores.
Carmen thanks KIVA for their help in financing her business. She is happy she can continue her activity, improve herself and help her family’s finances.
